Update 2012, Naomi is now four and she loves playing with the dolls.

Arrived February 2008, Naomi came to us as a newborn only 2 days old. Her cord had been tied with a dirty piece of string and was infected. The woman who brought her to the Children’s Office was a vegetable vendor who had been working at a roadside stand. The young girl asked her to hold the baby for a minute while she ran home to get the baby some clothes and she never returned. Naomi is a healthy girl who loves music!

Update 2012, Ronnie will be three this year. He has gone from sitting a crying to now being a part of the activities.

Arrived October 2009, Ronnie was abandoned by his mother at the hospital in early October at about 6 weeks old. A few days later we got a call from the Children’s Office to bring him in for a meeting. When we arrived we met Ronnie’s grandmother, who heard from a neighbor that Ronnie was at the hospital.  She had a large growth in her abdomen and was obviously in very poor health and could not care for him.  But she spoke blessings over him and us and said she could now “sleep” knowing he was in good hands. We took pictures of Ronnie and grandma so he will know that she loved him. As we drove off she was just sobbing.

Update – 2012, Abednego now 4 years old is in pre-school. He will win your heart with his smile.

Arrived June 2008, Abednego, abandoned at birth, was premature weighing less then 2 pounds. He was born March 16, 2008, but didn’t leave the hospital until June 9, weighing only 3 pounds. With the help of nutritious baby formula and later Plumpy Nut Paste, he is now thriving! He is truly a miracle, surviving without an incubator or anyone (human) to take care of him. He has a strong name because he has survived against all odds. Abednego and Joshua were born eleven days apart and both abandoned, two tiny little boys who have found a home (they looked like twins, Abednego was the one with the big eyes).

Update 2012, Elvis is just cute and when he smiles the dimples make you smile.

Arrived July 2007, Elvis was brought to us after being abandoned at the hospital by his mother. He was about 4 months old and extremely malnourished. He is now a happy, healthy boy. He is very social and loves to be in the middle of whatever is going on. He came with the name Elvis, I ‘m sure it is because when he smile his lip goes up.
