Long Term Mission Workers
20-25 new children join the In Step family each year. Our need for additional long term Mission Workers is rapidly growing. We are praying that God will send skilled and passionate people to continue to grow how we serve the children in our care.
In order to be considered for a self-supporting Long Term Mission Worker position (as an individual or couple) with Rehema Ministries you must apply for a posted position(s).
If there is not a good match for your skill set but it is determined by Rehema Ministries Missions Committee and ISF’s Leadership Team that you have specialized expertise and talents that compliment a current or future organizational need, then you have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the Missions Committee to create a job description for approval.

Once the Missions Committee has received your resume for a posted position, the Committee will review your experience and then make a determination as to whether to proceed with an initial interview. After interviewing for the position, it if is determined that there is potentially a good match, the official application process will begin, which will include:
- A background check
- Law Enforcement Finger Printing completed in the state in which you reside
- A review and signed copy the Code of Conduct agreement
- Psychological – behavioral screening
- 3 letters of reference
- Proof of funds for initial round trip, to include all airline and travel fees, room and board fees, and – which upon initial approval would be a trial probationary visit of 90 days
- Other documentation and credentials as deemed necessary
Mission Worker Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in becoming a long term Mission Worker with us! It is important to note that long term mission workers are responsible for raising their own support. If you are considering a full-time, long term role (ideally 1 or more years) at In Step Foundation in Kenya, Rehema Ministries will be happy to help you take the next steps. Following are brief descriptions of current Mission Worker positions that are of the highest priority.
Business Director – To work alongside the Kenya Directors in team leadership structure by providing oversight for all administrative and HR functions at In Step Foundation. This includes assisting with strategic organizational development, ensuring bookkeeping procedures are in allignment with best practices, creating and implementing operational and HR policies and procedures, maintaining accurate financial accounting records, taking the lead on staff recruitment and development, grant management and reporting, and collaboration with all department heads, mission workers, and Rehema Ministries leadership.
Building Project Manager – The Building Project Manager is responsible for providing oversight and project management for all building maintenance and construction projects, to include creating the scope of work, obtaining bids, budgeting, organization of work flow, working with volunteers and mission teams, managing hired work crews and providing quality control when utilizing outside contractors, working with the Director of Procurement to purchase materials, and ensuring quality work and final project reports are submitted.
Pastor – The Pastor will offer pastoral leadership to the missionaries, staff and children. The Pastor will ensure that the systems, practices, and policies support and align with the ministry activities and goals.
Principal for Instep Academy – The Principal of In Step Academy serves as the educational leader, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Principal will work collaboratively with ISF Directors as well as direct and develop all members of the school staff. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, personnel management, emergency procedures, facility operations, and compliance with all Kenyan regulations.
Farm Manager – The Farm Manager serves as the agriculture leader, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure proper management and production of the farm and dairy. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, staff management, and facility operations.
Nurse – Promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and team members; providing physical and psychological support to children, staff and team members.
